Campbell’s Soup Beef Consommé Pepper Steak

One of my absolute favorite dishes ever is Pepper Steak. This was made often when we were kids and the Secret Sauce to this dish is Campbell’s Soup Beef Consommé.

The recipe literally takes 15-20 mins and only uses 4-5 ingredients.

  • Beef
  • 1 can of Campbell’s Soup Beef Consommé
  • 1 Bell Pepper
  • White rice
  • (Optional) Sprinkle a few red pepper flakes on dish while simmering in pan

Super easy to make. I like to use thin top round steak and I cut it into strips myself because it’s cheaper but you can always buy the meat pre-sliced.

Add some cooking spray to the pan and add steak and some salt and pepper (more pepper) cook until brown.

Once the meat is browned the way you like add the bell pepper. I use a whole bell pepper sliced fajita style, this is my preference, you can really cut them however you like.

I like my peppers to be crisp so after about 5-7 minutes I add the Campbells Soup beef consommé.

I turn the heat up so it can boil and the flavor gets through all the meat and vegetables.

Once it is boiling I turn the heat back down to simmer on low.

You want there to still be liquid in the pan because this is used as a sauce when you serve the pepper steak over a bed of white rice.

If you don’t have a lot of consommé left in the pan you can always add a little water and simmer for a few seconds.

End results this beautiful dish below...enjoy!
